Sharks v Blue Bulls

Bridgend Blue Bulls qualified for the semi-finals of the Welsh Conference Premier after demolishing West Wales Sharks 58-0 at New Dock Stars. However, they will have to beat Aberavon Fighting Irish next week at Little Warren, Aberavon to be certain of top spot in the West.

Three tries from Matthew Channel and a man of the match performance from Anthony Isaac backed by almost flawless kicking from  Matthew Hutchings shone through.

This sets up an exciting game next weekend against the Fighting Irish who

today ran out 66-18  against the Swansea  Valley Miners consolidating their second place position in the Western Conference.

In the Eastern Conference Torfaen Tigers kept up their charge for second place by beating Cardiff Demons 51-22.  Matt Entwhistle shone once again as he had in Wednesdays game  this time with a brace of tries

Torfaen's next must-win game is at Valley Cougars on Wednesday before they travel to Newport Titans next Saturday.

In the other Eastern Conference game the Bulldogs were always in control of the match with brothers David and Trevor James running the show.

Blackwood Bulldogs set up a final day showdown with Cardiff Demons next Saturday at St Peters RFC after they beat Valley Cougars 58-26. The winner of this match will finish as Wales Conference Premier East champions but the losers could miss out on a play-off spot altogether.
