Iestyn Harris this week confirmed his availability for Wales for the World Cup Qualifier against Scotland at the Brewery Field on Sunday 29th October.
The Bradford Bulls stand-off last played for Wales in the World Cup semi-final match against Australia in Huddersfield on November 19th 2000. He made his Welsh international debut against Australia on October 30th 1994 and is currently the country’s record points scorer for with 145 in his 17 games.
Since then, he has had a spell in union with Cardiff Blues and Wales and on his return to league, has been unable to play for Wales due to his involvement with Great Britain.
However because of his retirement from the Lions and the adjustment of his holiday dates, he can now play for Wales in their first qualifier for the 2008 World Cup.
Wales Rugby League Executive Chairman Mark Rowley said: “Iestyn confirmed his availability with us today and I’m over the moon with this news. We’ve been working hard to help him adjust his holiday dates so he can play and the fact that he was willing to do that in the first

place proves his dedication to his country. We’re all looking forward to seeing him back in a Wales shirt on October 29th in Bridgend.”
The cheapest way to see Iestyn and Wales in action is to buy tickets this Sunday at Celtic Crusaders’ LHF Healthplan Final Eliminator match against Swinton Lions at the Brewery Field (kick-off 3pm) where the prices have been reduced for one day only. Anyone who comes into the Crusaders match on Sunday can buy a Wales v Scotland ticket for only £3 (£1 concessions and children), reduced from the original £10 (£5 concessions and children) price. Both Crusaders and Wales tickets must be bought at the same time when you enter the ground.
Celtic Crusaders have reduced their children’s prices for entry to the Swinton match on Sunday. After discussions with Swinton Lions, the prices for the match are as follows...
Adults - £10
Concession (unwaged, senior citizens, students etc) - £5
Children - £1
If you can't make it to Sundays game you can still but tickets at the reduced price of £5 per adult, £2.50 per child or £10 for a family ticket.
Tickets are available from our online shop or at the Crusaders office at the Brewery Field between 10:00am and 4:00pm weekdays.
