Due to unforseen circumstances the Army 1st Parachute Regiment have been forced to cancel this game.

Valley Cougars start their 2007 campaign at their new home at Glan-y-Afon Park Ferndale on Wednesday 25th April at 7pm.

The Valley Cougars face a stern against the highly respected Army 1st Parachute Regiment, who have several players who have represented the Army Rugby League team in BARLA competitions. 

It was a disappointing domestic season for the Valley Cougars in 2006 with only one point from eight outings.  Despite this

they had success at international level with representatives at a number of junior and senior levels.

There will be a number of new faces along with some fan favourites including Wales international John Breakingbury pictured left and Owen Lewis below who was signed by Celtic Crusaders earlier in the year.

"This is the first time the Valley Cougars will play a pre season friendly" said Valley Cougars Chairman Mark Rowley "We're really pleased to have this opportunity and hope it will give us the platform for a good season in the Welsh Premier Conference"
