Wales Rugby League Match Officials Darren Scott and Ritchie Rees (pictured above) have both been selected by the RFL to act as match referees in this years Skanska Four Nations Tournament.

Darren refereed Wales A versus Scotland A played at St Peters RFC in Cardiff on the 16th June 2007 and Ritchie will be refereeing England v Ireland Amateurs at Hilton Park Leigh on Saturday 23rd June.

This is a great honour for both officials and the Welsh Society as a whole. Martin Edwards and newcomer Lee Parry are also involved in officiating these games as Touch Judges.

Ritchie, Chairman of the Society said, “I never thought we would have got to this level when we formed the society a little under two years ago. Alan Smith has to take most of the credit by encouraging us to develop and giving us the opportunity to referee at a higher level.

The Wales Rugby League Match Officials Society are always looking for people to get involved with Rugby League in Wales.

If you are interested in in becoming a match official please contact Alan Smith by emailing   Match Officials
