Bridgend Blue Bulls secured top spot in the final Welsh Conference Premier table in dramatic circumstances against Newport Titans on Saturday afternoon.

Tevita Manaseitava, Gareth David and Dan Williams making it 18-0 at half-time.

The second half saw a dramatic Newport come-back before the tables turned in the final five minutes. Newport had three scores levelling at 18-18 with just ten second half minutes gone.

Newport led with by 8 points with ten minutes to go but the Bulls staged a dramatic comeback to win 28-26.

 

The Valley Cougars and the Cardiff Demons shared the spoils with 36 points apiece after a highly entertaining an expansive game at Ferndale RFC.

The Demons took an early lead but the and the teams exchanges tries before the Cougars opened up an eight point lead early in the second half.  The Demons fought back and led by four heading into the final quarter before the Cougars equalised but missed the crucial conversion.

The Tigers secured second spot in the Conference and along with a guaranteed home fixture in the play-offs with a 36-28 win over the NPT Steelers at Port Talbot.

The game swang too and fro until just before half time when the Tigers scored back to back tries to open up a ten point gap.  The Steelers scored again but the Tigers sealed the win with another two scores.

In the final game in the conference the Bulldogs won a high scoring open game against the Sharks 54-38.
