Wales A have it all to do against England in Blackwood next month after being held to a 16-16 draw by Ireland A in Carlow on Saturday.
But they will know the task that they have to face to win the championship next month as Ireland travel to Scotland the day before they face the English.
Wales and Ireland are now joint top of the league on three points out of four with England a point behind following their 42-40 win over the Scots today.
Coach Wayne Williams added: “Both sides had some very good individuals, and I think we did well seeing seven of our boys today were under 21. I’m very proud of them all.”

Meanwhile the regular season
in the Co-operative Welsh Conference Premier concluded today with the final two games taking place.
It was one-way traffic in Newport on Saturday as the Titans sealed third place with a crushing 46-0 win over bottom side West Wales Sharks.
Blackwood Bulldogs and Valley Cougars will meet again in the play-offs next week after the Bulldogs beat the Cougars 40-16 on Saturday.
Next weekend the Blue Bulls get a week rest and the Sharks season ends as they finished top and bottom of the league respectively.
The first round of the play-offs sees the Tigers take on the Steelers while the Titans meet the Demons and the Bulldogs will have a repeat of todays fixture against the Cougars
All games will be played on 21 July 2007 kick offs at 2:30pm.
