A Grand Honour

Ian Curzon
Ian Curzon

Sadly there was no Wales Rugby League club representation in the RLC Premiership Grand Final played in Coventry on Sunday, won by St Albans, but two Wales RL Match Officials had the honour of being selected to officiate at the biggest amateur club game of the summer season. Ritchie Rees was the referee and Ian Curzon was a touch judge at the game.

This is another major landmark for the Match Officials Society as at the end of our second fantastic season we have people who are touch judging in the professional game at National League

level and Refereeing at amateur international level and top club level. Such a high level of achievement can only come from having a strong group of Officials who are constantly improving and pushing each other to achieve higher goals.

For those who are looking to become a Match Official details of the next course will follow shortly, please keep checking the website for details. Alternatively you can email Alan Smith from the Wales Match Officials Society.
