Newport Titans and Wales junior Adam Davies has made the first step on the ladder to Super League when he recently signed for Wigan Warriors Academy.
Prop forward Adam has had two under sixteen caps against France and England and on both occasions produced stand out performances.
Wales Ruby Leagues Andy Lindley said "He has a natural ball carrying talent and is incredibly strong and aggressive. He had predominantly played Rugby Union but has adapted incredibly well to the thirteen man code.
On a tour to Wigan and Widnes he was spotted by scouts and given the opportunity to try out with Wigan St Pats last month where he caught the eye of the Wigan Youth development team
Lindley added "Adam is an incredibly

mobile and aggressive forward whos game is ideally suited to the fast and physically demanding aspects of Rugby League"
Speaking about the signings, Wigan Chairman Ian Lenagan said:
"The future strength and success of the Wigan club in the Salary Cap era will depend upon bringing talented young players through the Wigan Academy System. I know our Coaching Staff have high hopes for these latest additions. What is particularly pleasing is that nine of the players have developed their rugby talents within local schools and amateur clubs. I would like to welcome them to the Club and wish them all well."
Wigan Warriors Youth Development and Performance Manager, Brian Foley (pictured left) added:
"We are delighted to have been able to sign these quality young players and we are excited about what they can achieve. The future is looking very bright within Wigan’s Scholarship and Academy Schemes."
