The Tigers are rapidly gaining a reputation in the Valleys for their entertaining and enterprising performances and this ten try spectacular saw them overcome a tough, Combined Services dominated Somerset outfit. Jason Hill. Torfaen built a 26-6 interval lead, cheered on by their expanding number of vociferous fans, Matt Entwhistle, Luke Bingham and Richard Jenkins with a brace of touchdowns claiming the four pointers.
Gareth Jenkins matched his brother in the second period with prop Jamie Juane, Hill, Lee Taylor and Kevin Jones also crossing. Chris Richards was outstanding for the Vikings, claiming all their points, and referee Gareth Illidge earned great praise for his contribution to a fine match.
