Newport blitz under strength Cougars
A second half blitz from Newport Titans finished off under strength but spirited Valley Cougars side at Pill Harriers.

The Titans took the lead in the seventh minute, Ryan James running over 30 metres to the line to score.

Cougars equalised through Rob Kotyla before Titans gave themselves a ten-point cushion after unconverted tries from Owen Jones, Mark Wheeler and Earl Palmer.

Cougars got a try back before half-time through Carl Thomas but tries from Earl Palmer, Ben Morris, Pete Ovey and Paul Jones made the final score 42-18 to the Titans. Stuart Williams scored the only try of the second half from the Cougars.

Valley Cougars entertain Swansea Valley Miners at Sardis Road next Sunday (kick-off 2.30pm).
