Blue Bulls 68 Valley Cougars 14
Cougars pose no problem for Bridgend
Bridgend Blue Bulls easily beat Valley Cougars at Maesteg to stay unbeaten.

Kevin Ellis set up the first try, breaking through the defence and slipping a pass to Gareth James who went over. A good passing move enabled Grant Epton to get the second before Lenny Woodard ran the length of the pitch for a third. Jon Williams converted all three.

Kevin Ellis added a brace for Bridgend, either side of on-loan Nathan Strong hitting back for the Cougars. Adrian Owen added another for the Cougars just .
 

before half-time to make the score 30-10

Bridgend’s Geraint Lewis opened the second half by scoring in the corner before on-loan Allan Bateman hit back again for the Cougars.

But from then on, it was Bridgend who ruled the roost at Maesteg. Grant Epton got two more scores, Gareth James ran in under the sticks for his second, Lloyd Connor also crossed as did debutantes Hywel Griffiths and Daryl Dyke. Jon Williams added five more conversions.
