they scored again straight from kick-off when Smith easily ran down the wing past the Blackwood back-line for his second. Stephen Mayley echoed this from kick-off while Matthew Francombe-Rees did likewise from the next re-start and with Matt Entwhistle converting four out six so far, Torfaen were 32-0 up on 20 minutes.
Entwhistle scored tries five minutes either side of half-time, converting them both to make it 44-0.
Blackwood eventually got onto the scoresheet on 64 minutes when Lewis Hamer broke through and jogged 20 metres unchallenged scored under the sticks. Jeremy Lloyd converted. However, Kevin Jones restored the balance after intercepting on his own 20 metre line and ran the length of the field to score with Entwhistle converting.
Rhys Woodward scored a second for the Bulldogs but Entwhistle completed his hat-trick and converted to complete the scoring.
Torfaen visit Cardiff Demons’ new ground at St Peters RFC next week while Blackwood go to Valley Cougars.
