Aberavon despite being shorn of key players due to Wales Under 19 call ups and only having 15 available players breezed past a spirited West Wales Sharks at a very hot St Georges Field on Saturday.

Aberavon settled quicker and scored a try through Rob Hill, Gareth Davies adding the extras. Sharks responded well and equalised through a Daniel Griffiths try, converted by Jonathon Griffiths. Irish were not be denied and two tries from Andy Llewellyn and Steve Gillard saw them stretch their lead to 16-6. Sharks pulled an unconverted try back from Jonathon Griffiths but Irish ran in a

further  try from Daniel Andrews, converted by Mike Healey to lead 22-12 at the break.

Irish's greater experience proved key as the second half went largely their way. Two quick tries from Daniel Andrews and Rob Hill both converted by Mike Healy saw Irish build an unassailable lead. Sharks pulled a try back through Jonathon Griffiths but Irish were too strong and crossed the whitewash a further three times.
