Torfaen Tigers helped their cause for a home draw in the end of season play-offs after beating Cardiff Demons 29-16 at St Peters RFC on Friday night.
The visitors were in control for a lot of the first half which was the deciding factor of the game, and they took the lead on ten minutes when Gareth Davies forced his way over with Gareth-John Jenkins converting.

A Mike Vann try again converted by Jenkins made it 12-0.
Davies went over for his second try on 25 minutes but Demons struck back after Gareth Jones fed Jamie Iles to go over and make the score 4-16 at the interval.
Jenkins rolled over a fourth Tigers score after 45 minutes converting his own try but Gareth Jones scored Demons’ second on the hour converting it himself to narrow the gap to 12 points again.
However Christopher Baldwin ran through five minutes later with Darryl Carter converting to restore Tigers’ advantage.
James Thatcher struck back again for Demons with Jones converting to make the score 16-28 with a Carter drop-goal completing the scoring.
