try to Alex Frazier and the first from centre Eddie Beaumont for Gloucestershire were well deserved. However Exeter countered with another brilliant individual try for Wesley and then winger Fildes got his first try after a great little break from Robin that sucked in three defenders.
At 22 – 20, the game swung dramatically against Exeter as the game was held up for 20 minutes awaiting an ambulance due to a nasty wrist break to Thomas Harper. In failing light, Gloucestershire took advantage with second tries for both Craggs and man of the match Beaumont. Nevertheless, Exeter showed a final piece of class with a masterly try from Filde who crashed over out wide. Deservedly however full back Jamie Cartwright completed the scoring by running the ball on the last tackle to seal a triumphant Gloucestershire victory.
The loss of Taylor and Harper together with other injuries means that Exeter need to re-group prior to their mighty battle against UWIC next week.
